Safe Haven Residences I and II, which are located in the Bronx, each provide 25 units of supervised, transitional housing for homeless adults with chronic mental illness. Each residence provides the tenants with meals, care coordination, medication management, and vocational and other rehabilitative services. This structured environment is staffed around the clock by mental health professionals; it helps to prepare the residents for permanent housing. On average, clients remain in the Safe Haven program for 3-4 months.
