Comunilife's President and CEO Dr. Rosa Gil and her colleague, Dr. Mario Rendon, Child and Adolescent Psychiartist,  continued their media campaign addressing the plague of Latina teenage suicide and promoting Comunilife’s innovative Life is Precious™ program with an appearance on ABC Channel 7’s “Tiempo” with Joe Torres. The interview with Dr. Gil and Dr. Rendon aired on Sunday, April. 26th at 11:30 am. In addition to Dr. Gil and Dr. Rendon, the segment featured one of the young Latina women who is enjoying the benefits of the Life is Precious™ program.

Dr. Gil created Life is Precious™ as a refuge for young Latina women contemplating suicide. One in six Latina girls between the ages of 12 and 16 will attempt suicide, according to the Center for Disease Control. Life is Precious™ operates out of Comunilife’s Vida Guidance Center in the Bronx.
