Honored as New York 1's New Yorker of the Week!

Comunilife’s President and CEO, Dr. Rosa M. Gil, continues her media campaign, determined to raise public awareness of the epidemic of Latina Teenage Suicides. Dr. Gil took the opportunity to speak out on the subject as she was being honored by New York 1 as their New Yorker of the Week. Dr. Gil used the segment, which aired on Friday, January 16th, 2009, to make New Yorkers aware of the Latina Teenage Suicide problem and to familiarize them with Comunilife’s new program, “Life is Precious”.

New York 1 moved to honor Dr. Gil after learning of her life long commitment to New York’s most marginalized citizens, the homeless, the chronically mentally ill, and those suffering from HIV/AIDS. The segment pays tribute to Dr. Gil’s many accomplishments and her leadership in the mental health care field.
