Dr. Gil and Dr. Rendon Bring Hope

to Bronx Residents

Comunilife's President and CEO Dr. Rosa Gil enjoyed a triumphant

appearance on Bronxnet televisions "OPEN" program on December

8th, 2008 with her friend and colleague Dr. Mario Rendon.

The topic of discussion was the "Life is Precious" program

created to combat Latina Teenage Suicide. 1 in 6

Latina girls between the ages of twelve and sixteen will attempt

suicide, the highest average in the nation, according to the

Center for Disease Control. The average in New York

City is even higher and the Bronx is the hardest hit of the

5 boroughs. The "Life is Precious" program operates out of the

Vida Guidance Center in the Bronx.
